Safety Protocol

Emergency First

GringoGuard is not an emergency service and does not file official reports automatically. If someone is in immediate danger in Colombia, use local emergency services first: Policia Nacional 123, Fiscalia 122, and ICBF 141 for child protection emergencies.

Public Claims Policy

Public pages prioritize patterns: city, approximate zone, method, venue/app, date range, and redacted narratives. Names, faces, private handles, exact addresses, room numbers, IDs, and victim-identifying details stay locked until human review.

Child Safety Protocol

Content involving minors is never fast-published. Sexualized minor material must not be uploaded to the public app. Operators must preserve evidence lawfully, restrict access, and complete legal review for NCMEC/CyberTipline and local reporting duties before launch.

Moderation SLA

  • Severe reports enter human review immediately.
  • Appeal/removal requests require audit-log review before action.
  • Official-source-backed posts must cite public authority sources.
  • AI decisions cannot publicly accuse a person without human approval.
